2013...
Well, so much for my earlier enthusiasm! I really didn't read (ugh, again!), I didn't blog, I didn't even jump on my own bandwagon. I did however have 2 surgeries. The first was to fix my diastasis. A 'simple' 3 hour surgery turned into a 6 hour surgery & the Dr. closing his office for the day. Turns out I had the largest one he'd ever seen...by a L O N G S H O T! It was 18cm. My muscle was completely separated from me. The largest he had operated on (until me) was 8cm. Well, if you're gonna do something, do it big or go home, right?! That was a tough recovery. I am just now really able to use my stomach muscles again *le sigh*. The 2nd surgery was for a reduction. Turns out I had a mass in my left side, sooooooooooo the 1-1/2 hour procedure turned into almost 4. Dang, I can't catch a break! On the up side of this, I feel a whole lot better... my step is springier and it's easier to move around. My back & shoulders are pain-free. Now to get my dupa into gear & do things. Next blog I'll tell ya'll about my adventures in a Pub Crawl & a couple of 5K's...

Ms. Atlas has created a scrumptious little tidbit to entice the reader into fits of pure giggles! The witty recipes are fun for ANYONE who has ever been in a relationship involving someone other than their cat. Secret Recipes for the Modern Wife made a lovely little retreat from a stuffy kitchen overflowing with the same, tired old dishes of stress, worry and boredom. Ms. Atlas has peppered in just the right amount of sarcasm and wit to blend with the cool retro visuals.
I highly recomend this sweet read to curb the appetite even the most ravenous of readers!

Are Lobsters Ambidextrous?: An Imponderables' Book

David Feldman has taken all of those 'I wonder' questions and turned them into very conspicuous 'Aha' answers. He leaves no stone unturned to get to the core of the elusive 'Deer in the headlights' or 'Why seagulls congregate in mall parking lots' quandary. Using colorful phrasing and proven fact, Mr. Feldman keeps his readers wanting more and having to ask less... a total win/win! Are Lobsters Ambidextrous? is an enjoyable read for the weekend or a welcome break during your daily commute.
I highly recommend this book to anyone who has ever asked "Why..."!

2012? I don't think so...

Well, I sure didn't get my butt in gear. I read (very little I'm afraid) but I didn't blog though so I missed out! I do have 2 reviews to post~ I just hope to get hopping & get more done! So much has happened, so many things have been done...where to start? The beginning would be nice save for my absolute lack of gumption soooooooooooo, long story extremely short: I survived 2012.

Now on to 2013...
Within the next few hours I will put up 2 book reviews. I know, I know, it's about darn time! I have a goal of 1 post per day average (so I don't hang myself) and plan on reviewing ALL kinds of things just to mix it up, so hold on to your balaklavas and enjoy the ride!
